Anyways, there is this one person whom I have not entirely, but still, left out a bit in my day's blog and so I thought of usinf ur one minute writer to pen down a fine thank you note to him.

He was always there, next to me, right from the time I was born into this world but I never noticed him. it was by the time i was in my 12th grade that i started recognising him. and from then on there was no looking back . he was always there to help me through my exams, to help me get the bus though i reached late, to give me new ideas, to help me experience life.. to teach me all about love, happiness and bliss. that was my spiritual guru and today I want to thank you for all that you did and still doing for me. If not for you I dont know where i would have ended up and as what. Thanks... and love you so much for being there.. and teaching me all the things in life!

Donal, thank you for being someone I love to hang out with. Thank you for doing at least as much around the house as I do. Thank you for being an extremely present father, and a 100% equal partner. Thank you for respecting my mind and thinking I'm smarter than you. (For the record, you're smarter than me.) Thank you for learning and loving Pinochle so we could play with my family.

Thank you, God...for every minute of every day. Nothing happens in my life that you don't already know. All of the adventures, the people with whom you share with me, and the little lessons you teach have all been there every day. I can't ask you to bless yourself, but I can humble myself before you with my gratitude.

Dear Dad,

I know you probably think there is nothing your children could possibly thank you for, afterall you were abusive with words and hit the eldest too hard, alcohol seemed more your friend than our own mother.

However, there were those "moments" that at least one of your children prefers. I remember when you showed me how to tie my shoes, while we waited for mom to come back to the car from shopping. You were very patient. I remember you encouraging us to read good books instead of the comics. I remember you allowing me to drive the car around the yard so I could get used to it. I remember when I lost my first child you took me into your arms and just held me and let me cry my soul out. And again, when my husband chose to go to someone else and my heart broke again. I remember you working so hard. Driving such an unreasonable amount of time just so we could stay in the same school. Your trip was two hours one way. I remember you buying my first college books.

That is not everything, but a good dose of positives that I will hold close to my heart. I choose to forgive you and love you, even though you were not the perfect dad. I truly am Thankful that you have found a way now to say "I love you", words that seemed to difficult in the past to say. I know you did, but now you have no fear of saying them. I'm glad and am thankful you have found your way. You will always have a special place in my heart and I'm thankful. I love you, Dad.

Thank you, Miss Melissa. This is your first year of teaching and you are doing an AMAZING job with my son and the other kids in the Pre-K class. I love your creativity, enthusiasm and obvious joy in the children. My son is blossoming under your guidance and it is a joy to see. Thank you and may you never burn out!

[Well. After reading other comments, I think I misunderstood the question, but whatever.:)]

Dear Lilly,
it was great to see you again. Thanks so much for the books! I'm really enjoying them so far. Say hi to your family to me.

Just a few lines to thank you for the changes you brought about, without meaning to. You changed my life and who I am. Even though it didn't work out the way I'd hoped, I'm happy for it having been. I cherish thoughts of you and what we were, and are. See you soon. --Andy

Thank You, Lord. I could say that alone and not mention a thing because the list would be so long and where would I end it? Or how would I begin it?

Even though today is not an easy day for me, being surrounded by the pain and suffering of two people I love, I remain thankful.

A verse I make my own every day is Hab. 3:17-18 --

"Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior."

I don't understand why we are going through this trial, Lord. But I trust You. It's hard for me to watch them suffer... especially hard to watch the tears come... but I trust You.

Thank You for the wonderful husband you've given me to help me bear this load.

Thank You for the friends who write me notes of comfort.

Thank You for helping me maintain my own health and strength in all of this, because I need to stay strong.

Oh Lord, please be with others today in a situation similar to mine. Help them not despair. Help them feel Your Presence and see that no matter how it looks, You really are there. You haven't turned away.

Daddy,

You are not here anymore. I don't look at your black and white picture on the wall enough. Most of the time I look at your picture when I am sad, or stressed, or I have some problem that I can't solve, and wishing you were here to help me out.

You were always so tough with me, which made me so strong today. You hit me when I was wrong, but holding my tears in became second nature. You used to be so mad whenever I didn't have good grades, which made me successful now because I don't settle for the less. When I was young, you didn't let me go out, and I had a curfew, but you would allow me to visit family members. Thank you for teaching me filial piety. I now learned to balance life and love.

Daddy, I wish you were here. I'm glad I was there most of the days where you were in the hospital waiting for your day to come. Even though, you still yelled at me, for little things like bringing you photos of the family, poland spring water, visiting when the sky has turned dark, but I know in your eyes, you were grateful to have me and I was happy to visit you. I did not know you were going to die when I was 13. But I have no regrets visiting you.

I can't hand this to you daddy.
I hope you are well, whatever religion is true, I hope I get to see you when I die and say sorry to you, for all the times that I yelled back, or got you mad, and for not listening.
Don't worry about lil sis. She's taken cared of.

I love you dad.

Thank you Hubby,

For dancing in the kitchen with me last night. For walking in the rain with me. For snoring next to me.

Thank you for the kisses on my forehead, and for checking if I have a fever and telling me I do even if I don't because when I feel ill for some reason it makes me feel better to think I have a fever. Thank you for laughing when I give directions wrong and knowing I get left and right mixed up. Thank you for telling me you like my bottom and meaning it. Thank you for holding my hand. Thank you for driving slower than you want so I won't panic.

Thank you Hubby for snuggling up to me in the night and wrapping your arm around me and pulling me in tight. Thank you for coming to the pound with me and saying no to another dog, but still going to the front counter and paying the fee. Thank you for eating anything I make, even all the deserts when you don't much like desert, tasting five different pies on Thanksgiving is a lovely thing for you to do for me. Thank you for coming to chick flicks with me even though you roll your eyes. Thank you for always putting me to bed and never leaving me sleeping on the couch.

Thank you Hubby for coming back into the house when you are leaving for work just to kiss me one more time. Thank you for looking at me in the morning light with messy hair, and sleepy eyes and no make up and telling me I am beautiful. Thank you for the 1,000 more things.

Thank you Hubby, for loving me.

I love you.

------

I didn't write it on a notecard, but did just read it outloud to him... and he just kissed me on the forehead. Ahhh... such a love.

I don't want to thank the academy today since I didn't win any awards. I don't want to thank the generic God that they all thank when they do win. I don't want to thank my coach, my trainer, my agent, or the thousands of fans in attendance tonight.

I do want to thank my friend, Eric. Thank you for pushing through my lazy tendencies and being my friend from such a long distance. Thank you for trusting me with your prayer requests, your joys, your struggles, and your dreams. Thank you for the feedback you give me to help my dreams more of a reality. Thank you for not giving up on me when I gave up on myself and thank you for teaching me what "A friend loves at all times" means. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and may God bless you and restore you to your place of joy :)

Thank you, Amanda, for letting me cry. Thank you for sitting with me in a crowded place and crying with me. It has changed my life. It's easier to feel emotions, and its easier to talk about those things that you just want to keep hidden in your soul. Although I am still so unsure of this life and faith and all the things you hold dear and beautiful to your heart, give me time. I will heal, someday-with His help. Thank you for letting me be me and loving me anyway.

I was afraid, and you comforted me, I was weary, and you gave me rest. I was beaten from head to toe, lying by the side of the road, and you came and bandaged my wounds and restored me. I was filthy, and you cleaned me. I was blind, and you gave me sight. I was dying, and you gave your life so that I might live. Thank you Lord! Thank you for your kindness and compassion. Thank you for your mercy and grace. Though I was a poor beggar in rags when I met you, you did not recoil from me, but you took off your own robe and covered me. The rich garments of your salvation have warmed my heart! Greater love has no one than this that he lay down his life for his friend! Thank you, my friend, my Lord, my Saviour. My life is yours!

I want to thank you, dear reader. I do not know you, but I am sure there is something good you have done today and deserve a sincere "thank you". Thank you consists of only 2 little words and saying it takes only 1 second. But still we forget to say it, when we really should. It is so very important.

To Jocelyn - You are the best friend a girl could ask for. My life is richer for having known you.

To D - Thank you for being there for me this past week. It was a week that nearly broke me and pushed me to the limits of what I could bear. Your willingness to listen and care means the world to me. I am grateful for your friendship.
