I am waiting for the day I'll get married with my fiance. All the more, I am waiting for the day I'll meet face to face our Bridegroom, JESUS CHRIST. My most awaited days. Soon.

GOD IS WITH US ALWAYS!

I am waiting for the day I reach uk dress size 8. I will start living then. Men will fall at my feet, I will suddenly be able to sing like an angel and birds will fly out of the sky to help me dress and tie ribbons in my hair. It will be a wonderful day for the world. :)

My girlfriend and I have been dating for 2 and a half years. We've been best friends for 3 years longer than that.

Right now, she lives in Florida, and I live in Taiwan. Unless you failed Geography pretty miserably, you know those two places aren't anywhere near each other.

We are waiting to see where our roads lead us. We know that they will cross again, one day. But until then, we're left waiting.

What am I waiting for? I REALLY DON'T KNOW! I wish I did, I need to make some moves in my life, I know what they are, or at least some of them, but stil don't move. WHY IS THAT?! I wish I could just MOVE!

I'm waiting for the day I can retire. But that being said, I also realize you can't live your life "waiting", so I try and enjoy each day as it comes and see what I can do to live life to it's fullest every day.

I'm waiting to wake up. I dread early mornings, but that's pretty ironic, seeing as I'm at work before the crack of dawn every day.

Just call me grumpy. Give me another few hours and I'll have wiped the sleep from my eyes and will start to smile. ;)

I'm waiting for my 15 minutes of fame or anything that follows that initial 15. Then again... it's just me waiting.
I guess the best thing I've got going for me is the wait for inspiration.

I am waiting for myself. Nothing is holding me back except myself. The world is full of possibilities and yet, myself hangs back, not wanting to take the risk, not wanting to love deeply enough to make a difference. I am becoming impatient with myself but I will continue to wait.

I am waiting for my next gig. Then I will have the money to buy a new computer, a trip to Europe, everything I desperately desire. And I will feel useful, appreciated, secure. Secure. I know, I should go look for my gig, not wait for it to come to me.

I am waiting for the GOVERNMENT... They owe me pay for my weekend work since March last year (and they don't pay me danger pay yet!) Other staff get danger pay for diving with dolphins but handling venomous snakes hasn't cracked the nod yet?
If I don't get st least some of my money by 19 Jan I can't pay my deposit for Honours this year and will be stuck here for even longer. Am beginning to wonder if it is worth hoping anymore

funny...I'm either always waiting for something - usually something good, something I'm mlooking forward to (like trips to NYC and Paris). or I'm looking back at them...feeling like they came and went too quickly.

{this is my first attempt - found the blog a few days ago and bookmarked for a new daily exercise - really enjoyed it! but wow, 60 seconds goes by FAST!! I wrote in my journal and then typed here - thanks, Beth!}

We seem to spend our whole lives waiting for something! This year I am waiting on my two oldest daughters to get married - one in June, one in October. On second thought, this means I'll have two different days I have to put up with my ex-husband - bummer!!

This year I'm going to try and not say "I'm waiting on this", or "I'm waiting on that." I want to try to live in the moment.

Of course, living in a rural community, I always have to wait on a train to clear the tracks ...

Leslie said...

Ahhh, waiting. Waiting is always such a task. As the anticipation and anxiety builds, preoccupations meant to fill that time become less and less appealing. Personally, I want everything that I want right now. The problem is, there's no guarantee that I'll truly know how to handle what I so eagerly anticipate. So until that glorious day when all my dreams come true, I'll wait - strengthening my relationship with my Heavenly Father and bettering myself in the mean time. :)

I'm currently waiting to go to the bathroom. It's a one person bathroom at my end of the office building and every time I get up, it's occupied. So I wait. And the urgency builds. Eventually I'll hit a point where I have to walk to either the warehouse locker room or the corporate end of the building. Or...

Oops. Too late. Maintenance?!?

Time ticks on a clock
set for a time we can not know.

Time ticks for some counterwise
and they live hoping for more

Time ticks for me
in soft and gentle ways

Time ticks and we know
it will keep ticking, and ticking

Until we hear it no more
But time will still tick

Without us.

I'm waiting for everything, for it all to begin. For the friendships I have to become stronger, the love I share to be deeper, my life to be fuller and more complete, and for me to come into my own, whatever that is. ... I'm beginning to realize though that waiting isn't the answer, that what is now, at this moment is what's important, and realizing that sets everything else in motion.

Inspiration must strike.

Before I can speak
I must know wrong from right.

Before I can move

Before the question can be asked
The answer has to be under my nose.

I'll need a bigger house
Before we can have a pup.

And before I can post this
I wait for the timer to be up.

I learned to stop waiting. Oh, I can wait for good things to happen, I can have patience, but I am not waiting to be happy, to put my dreams first, to pursue goals. Day-to-day, I wait. For the sun to rise, for the earth to warm. I am waiting for a doe to kid. I wait with excitement for this year’s lambing season. I’m waiting for spring to come with its worm smell, to break open the earth and plant. Meantime though, there are a million things to do to prepare. I don’t have time to wait. I do.

I would like to say that I am waiting on the Lord. Hoping in his salvation and eternal life. There are days when I forget to do this, days when I forget that this physical world I see is not all there is to reality. And I must say that those days are the ones when I am most frustrated with my kids, others, and myself. I would rather spend my time basking in the peace that surpasses all understanding than running in "the rat race". Amen

Patience, we’re told, is a treasure,
A virtue and so beyond measure.
But it’s so irritating
To sit around waiting
For a tradesman to come, at his leisure.

Punctuality, there’s not much to it,
Should you ever wish to pursue it;
But it can be a shock
To arrive on the clock
As no-one ever sees you do it.
