How it works

Who's got the time to journal daily? You do.

1. Read the daily writing prompt.
2. Push "Play" on the timer on the right side of the screen.
3. Spend 60 seconds or less writing a response to the daily prompt.

You may respond in the "Comments" section of each post, if your response is family-friendly. Or you can write in your own journal or blog. If you respond in a public blog post, post the link in the comments and share it with us. Also feel free to use the "Comments" section for informal discussion about the responses that are posted.

Today, take a minute to write!

Weekly Mister Linky: 1/22-1/28

If you respond to a prompt on your own website/blog this week, feel free to link here! And you're also welcome to use this week's Mister Linky if you write a blog post about The One-Minute Writer.

How to use Mister Linky:
  1. Enter your name, and let us know which day's prompt you're responding to (e.g., "Beth Monday").
  2. If your prompt contains adult language or content, please put an "M" after your name and the day (e.g., "Beth Monday M").
  3. Enter the URL of the actual post that you want people to visit--not your blog or website's home page! ("http://cbethblog.blogspot.com/2011/06/one-minute-writer-response.html" would be correct; "http://cbethblog.blogspot.com" would not.)
  4. You may link multiple times throughout the week if you respond to multiple prompts.
  5. No need to leave a comment after linking (despite what the widget says!)
Has your link been deleted? This tool is not for sharing links to your blog unless your blog post is related to today's prompt, or you've blogged about The One-Minute Writer. I want the links to stay on-topic. Thanks for understanding!
