Happy Holidays!
Just a heads up that the One-Minute Writer will be "closed" - that is, not posting new prompts - for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day this year. That's December 24th and 25th, US time.
If you're stuck at your great-aunt's house making conversation with your weird second cousin over eggnog and need some journal ideas to escape, not to worry! Come hang out and write answers to some old prompts. There are hundreds of them, and we promise we won't tell.
Peace be with you all. We're grateful for each and every one of you!

How it works
Who's got the time to journal daily? You do.
1. Read the daily writing prompt.
2. Push "Play" on the timer on the right side of the screen.
3. Spend 60 seconds or less writing a response to the daily prompt.
You may respond in the "Comments" section of each post, if your response is family-friendly. Or you can write in your own journal or blog. If you respond in a public blog post, post the link in the comments and share it with us. Also feel free to use the "Comments" section for informal discussion about the responses that are posted.
Today, take a minute to write!

Happy and Merry to you!!!
Literary fiction or nonfiction, no question.
Peaceful and joyful holidays to all.
Merry Christmas, Sonnet & Abbey! Thanks so much for revitalizing this blog.
Hi Sonnet, I hope you are enjoying Christmas. Merry Christmas.
Thanks for all the Christmas wishes! We live far away from any family so we do it casual - went out for teppanyaki with friends. Good times and lots of laughter. Maybe a little too much sake :) I hope everyone else had a wonderful holiday season too!
