You are headed out to a dinner date with your beloved when you suddenly remember it's Valentine's Day, and you have forgotten all about it. D'oh. You're running late, too. You check your pockets... I don't stress because I know that I am with someone that values more what the day represents: Love, than the commercialism behind Valentine's Day. I thank him for the awesome surprise, kiss him passionately on the lips and spend a lifetime expressing my love and appreciation to him.
I have been married to my Valentine for over 40 years. He knows I never remember days like this while he is the most thoughtful man ever! He was raised by women and it shows. So just say I did have $5 and 20 minutes I would stop at our local chocolatier and by him one perfect cashew turtle. He would be surprised and so happy!
