How it works
Who's got the time to journal daily? You do.
1. Read the daily writing prompt.
2. Push "Play" on the timer on the right side of the screen.
3. Spend 60 seconds or less writing a response to the daily prompt.
You may respond in the "Comments" section of each post, if your response is family-friendly. Or you can write in your own journal or blog. If you respond in a public blog post, post the link in the comments and share it with us. Also feel free to use the "Comments" section for informal discussion about the responses that are posted.
Today, take a minute to write!

To me it means sticking to moral tenets I believe are important like fairness and kindness. I think the word is demeaned when manufactures want us to be loyal to a brand of bread or an automobile -- they are telling us to stop thinking and comparing and to select in knee-jerk way.
What could be more important? It is at the core of every relationship. It is the essence of safety, knowing that betrayal is not an option. It is the only thing we can expect from our loved ones and the richest gift you can give a friend.
Loyalty is being true to the people you love or care about. It is the basis for being a person of character. It is the example we must set for our children.
To me, loyalty means covering someone's back. No matter what happens, as Bex Beacon noted in Comments, betrayal is not an option.
For example, in my work as a commercial diver, when my partner and I guard each other (when an alligator has been spotted in the area,) we say we "have each other's back." That means being prepared to use a 357-caliber bang stick or pole spear, having 911 on speed dial, and trusting each other to do whatever it takes.
Loyalty - betrayal is not an option.
