How it works

Who's got the time to journal daily? You do.

1. Read the daily writing prompt.
2. Push "Play" on the timer on the right side of the screen.
3. Spend 60 seconds or less writing a response to the daily prompt.

You may respond in the "Comments" section of each post, if your response is family-friendly. Or you can write in your own journal or blog. If you respond in a public blog post, post the link in the comments and share it with us. Also feel free to use the "Comments" section for informal discussion about the responses that are posted.

Today, take a minute to write!

Word Verification No More (for now)

Hi everyone,

Say Cheese asked in the comments yesterday if we could turn the word verification step off due to the super-annoying factor. I (as admin) never see the word verification when I am signed in, and I thought that was the case for all commenters who had some kind of account they signed in with; i.e. I thought word verification only showed up if you tried to post anonymously. Apparently, I was wrong! I can see how that would be obnoxious. Especially with those tiny numeral ones, ugh!

For now, word verification is turned off. We'll see how the spam filter handles things without it. (This blog does get some spam comments. If the filter doesn't catch them, we manually delete them.) If chaos ensues, we'll turn it back on. If all is well, then we're good!

Sorry it was always there for so long and I never knew :/
