How it works
Who's got the time to journal daily? You do.
1. Read the daily writing prompt.
2. Push "Play" on the timer on the right side of the screen.
3. Spend 60 seconds or less writing a response to the daily prompt.
You may respond in the "Comments" section of each post, if your response is family-friendly. Or you can write in your own journal or blog. If you respond in a public blog post, post the link in the comments and share it with us. Also feel free to use the "Comments" section for informal discussion about the responses that are posted.
Today, take a minute to write!

The older you get the more it happens: you find yourself standing in the kitchen, or any other room you weren't in just half a minute ago, saying "why did I come in here? What did I want to get?" Now I read in the paper that some psychologist says the doorway causes the blank -- says the article, going through a door erases former impulses. To me it sounds more poetic than factually likely -- but I must say I often have the phenomonon. Wish I lived in a large loft apartment that is really only one room.
That little legs and little feet with nothing to do in life but enjoy it will ALWAYS move slower than the adult with too much to do....
I regularly forget to give us five more minutes than necessary to get to the car, to have patience with their lack of concern for the clock, to enjoy their wonder.
How was life before www?
Writing long letters
Reading books and newspapers
Fingers black from ink
A different world
Paper napkins at the grocery store- especially if I need them to enjoy a messy meal, I will not go back to the store that's less than a mile from my apartment. As for the messy meal, I rummage to find paper napkins from Jason's Deli or bust!
... and this is my good friend Matt. No wait, is it Mark? Ugh, how embarrassing! I am terrible with names! People I have known for years and even see every week, I still can't remember their names right. I'm just as bad with dates. The other week, making a doctor's appointment, I couldn't for the life of me remember my daughter's exact birth date. My own daughter! You'd think I'd remember that one, I mean I was there!
Everything you said! Me, too!!!
I forget frequently to say I care. To say you have made my life better. I think people just know I love them. I am resolving today to send a card, an email, a text, to smile and say, "I love you!"
Each day
A New Beginning
Living the Zen Life
i would like
to tell you
how much you meant
to me
how much i miss you
how I once thought
i couldn't live without you
but i
forget...
It seems like I used to remember everything, now I forget everything. I think that started when I was pregnant. Suddenly, there were so many more important things to think about instead of the milk, toilet paper and birthdays!
