Today's Writing Prompt: My mug
I have a favorite mug for my morning coffee. Do you have a "go-to" cup of some sort? Tell us about it!

A mug for morning coffee is perfect if it's thick enough to maintain maximal heat in the coffee, if it's large enough -- say 8 ounces -- not to need refilling and a pleasing shape and feel in my hand. I have three identical mugs except they are each a different pastel color. All the other mugs in the cabinet are for guests.
My morning coffee mug was sent to me several years ago by my best friend. White...heavy and has a sunflower painted on it. How can you wake up to a sunflower and not smile :)
I love my mug that is covered in a pretty teal, peach, and brown pattern. Inside, at the top, it says, "Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. Jude 2". I love having that encouraging message to read as I drink my coffee.
Even the lack of an Oxford comma in the verse can't ruin it for me. ;-)
Bill travels. He did in his former job (of 35 years), and now as an otr truck driver. I have a mug collection, and rotate them, depending upon mood and weather. I do have favourites, though.
I have about four favorites, all from Starbucks. My current favorite of favorites is actually my daughter's, but I keep swiping it. It has the "Sumatra" tiger logo embossed on the mug, with a comfortably large handle. The best part of any mug is what's inside, though.
I don't much care as long as someone else is making the tea! My contribution: http://ariadnearanea.wordpress.com/2013/03/16/mug-politics/
